Hello , good morning ( or good afternoon ) . I just purchased one Martinez Gimbal Controller Board , German Version V3.0 . I have installed the FTDI Usb/Serial Driver , installed OK on Windows XP , tried several GUI's I have found on the web ( V 48 , V49 .. ) , it connects , but it seems nothing happens .. The traces in the small black window do not appear when I click on " Start " , if I adjust some values , and click on " save to flash " , well a small Led near the Usb port on the board shines very briefly but nothing more .. The board by itself with two 4006 motors seems to work , when I rotate the IMU , the motors react and spin ( so I suppose a firmware is already installed .. ) , but I would like to adjust more , because I feel they are not powerful enough ( I have tried with up to 15 volts , the current is rather low , around 200 ma .. )
i have tried to load configuration From the board , but nothing happens , the buttons on the Gui do not move .. it looks like there is no communication between the board and the GUI .. I have tried several different versions of the Gui , but no luck ..
So , what do I miss ? There is no notice nor manual with the board .. do I need to load a firmware ?
Any help would be appreciated , Thanks a lot .

Martinez board..

Where did you purchase it? Many martinez Boards are flashed with a "hacked" alexmos firmware. In that case you would need his GUI (simplebgc)
Hello , good afternoon and thanks for your reply . Well , I bought this board from a french Drone builder and seller , not very expensive ; under the board I can read " IFLIGHT " , I think it's an American Company , and over it , " Martinez " and " Fpv-Community " . That's all .. so not very accurate .. I am going to try SimpleBgc , but I think I already tried it .. with no results .. Maybe there is another solution with the Windows " Terminal " , it's certainly possible to communicate with the board and get some informations .. It looks like the FTDI / usb driver works ok .. but maybe there is a problem with it .. the Serial/Usb port speed ( in Device manager ) is 9600 bauds , normal .. I tried with another computer , same problem .. Anyway the board works a bit , but not enough power on the motors , 200 Ma seems a bit weak .. Well , I continue my " brain storming " .... :) . If I get the solution , I'll let you know , sure I am going to find , but when ? ... Thanks a lot

Well , I finally found the solution .. The installed firmware is Version 048 .. so I need GUI 048 .. if they could put a small sticker with the firmware version .. it would be useful .. The other main problem is that the FTDI/USB Driver is Critical : I had to install Version 02.08.24 .. the more recent 02.08.30 does not work .. Well , we learn everyday .. Anyway , thanks a lot , and Best Regards .
